At Vedika Diagnostic, we provide home sample collection services for your convenience. This policy outlines our shipping, delivery, and sample collection procedures.

1. Home Sample Collection Service

We offer free home sample collection services in select areas. Our trained phlebotomists visit your specified address to collect samples at a scheduled time.

Service Coverage

  • Home collection is available in major cities and serviceable areas
  • Service availability is subject to your pincode location
  • You can check service availability during the booking process
  • Some remote areas may have limited or no service coverage

2. Sample Collection Process

Scheduling

  • Select your preferred date and time slot during booking
  • Collection slots are typically available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • You will receive a confirmation call/SMS before the scheduled visit
  • Rescheduling is available up to 24 hours before the appointment

Collection Day

  • Our phlebotomist will arrive at your specified address
  • Please ensure someone is available at the address during the scheduled time
  • Provide accurate address details including landmarks for easy location
  • Follow any pre-test instructions (fasting, medication restrictions, etc.)

3. Delivery Charges

Free Home Collection

Home sample collection is FREE for all bookings in serviceable areas.

Additional Charges

  • No additional charges for standard home collection
  • Express collection (same-day) may incur additional charges
  • Rescheduling within 24 hours may have a nominal fee
  • Any applicable charges will be clearly displayed during booking

4. Sample Transportation

Collected samples are transported to our NABL-accredited laboratory under controlled conditions to ensure sample integrity:

  • Samples are stored in appropriate containers with temperature control
  • Transportation follows standard medical protocols
  • Samples reach the laboratory within the required time frame
  • Chain of custody is maintained throughout the process

5. Result Delivery

Digital Delivery

  • Test results are delivered via email within 24-48 hours (depending on test type)
  • Results can be accessed through your account on our website
  • You will receive SMS/email notifications when results are ready
  • Results are available in PDF format for download

Physical Reports

  • Physical reports can be collected from our laboratory
  • Home delivery of physical reports may be available (charges apply)
  • Please specify your preference during booking

6. Failed Collection Attempts

If our phlebotomist is unable to collect samples due to:

  • No one available at the address
  • Incorrect or incomplete address
  • Patient not in suitable condition for sample collection
  • Inability to locate the address

We will attempt to contact you and reschedule. Additional charges may apply for rescheduling due to failed attempts.

7. Service Limitations

  • Home collection may not be available for all test types
  • Some specialized tests may require a visit to our laboratory
  • Service availability is subject to operational constraints
  • We reserve the right to refuse collection if safety protocols cannot be followed
